1 – Bonne M\u00e8re<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Overlooking the whole city from the top of its hill, the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde<\/a> is said to be the guardian angel of the people of Marseille and the fishermen who go out to sea. A breathtaking view awaits you from here, and you can get there on foot for the more sporty types, or by taking the city’s little train from the Vieux-Port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 – Old-Port<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Old-Port<\/a>\u00a0 is one of the symbols of Marseille, located at the foot of the famous Canebi\u00e8re. Come and soak up the sunshine on the many waterside terraces, discover the fish market every morning, and admire the comings and goings of legendary boats like the Ferry-boat\u2026 There’s no shortage of things to do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 – The Frioul Islands<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Off the coast of Marseille, discover the must-see Frioul Islands. This archipelago of 4 islands is accessible by ferry and offers an exceptional panoramic view. 5 – The Calanques<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Calanques<\/a>\u00a0nature park is one of Marseille’s treasures, whether for hiking, swimming or exploring nature and the seabed. A jewel box of preserved biodiversity that is unique in the world, it can be reached on foot or by boat. Among the most beautiful calanques? Inaugurated in 2013, Mucem – the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisation – is a cultural and artistic centre. Now an institution in Marseille, this cultural city is a mecca for architecture and heritage, spread over three sites: the J4, Fort Saint Jean and the CCR.
