Check out the list below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1 &#8211; Cours Mirabeau<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cours Mirabeau is THE place to be for locals and tourists alike. It is best known for its many fountains, the most imposing of which is the Rotonde. With a basin 32 metres in diameter and a fountain 12 metres high, you won&#8217;t want to miss it! Also worth a visit are the Hot Water Fountain, the Fountain of the Nine Cannons and the King Ren\u00e9 Fountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2 &#8211; C\u00e9zanne&#8217;s studio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul C\u00e9zanne, the world-famous painter and father of modern art, was a native of Aix-en-Provence! Discover the vestiges of his past life in his studio on the hill of Les Lauves, a place full of creativity that saw the birth of many masterpieces\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3 &#8211; Saint-Sauveur Cathedral<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A Roman Catholic cathedral, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cathedrale-aix.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Saint-Sauveur<\/a> was built in the 12th century on the site of the ancient forum. But according to common belief, it was actually built on the remains of a temple dedicated to the god Apollo\u2026 A true jewel of the city of Aix, it is home to many wonders in a variety of architectural styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4 &#8211; The H\u00f4tel de Caumont<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in the heart of the Mazarin district, the H\u00f4tel de Caumont has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1987. For many years it was a private mansion, then the home of Aix-en-Provence&#8217;s conservatoire and dance school, before becoming a venue for temporary exhibitions dedicated to the great names in art, as well as concerts, lectures and musical performances!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5 &#8211; Granet<\/strong> Museum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Undoubtedly one of the most illustrious museums in Provence, the Mus\u00e9e Granet &#8211; a museum of fine art, archaeology and decorative art &#8211; is home to treasures of infinite value. From Picasso to Rembrandt, via the unmissable Paul C\u00e9zanne, you can discover the great classics of art from the 11th to the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6 &#8211; Montagne Sainte-Victoire<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Illustrated many times by C\u00e9zanne, Mont Sainte-Victoire is the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy the rich and exceptional vegetation. A (physical) hike will take you to the cross at the top of the mountain, where you&#8217;ll discover a breathtaking view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7 &#8211; The Vasarely Foundation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>An architectural centre built between 1971 and 1975, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationvasarely.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vasarely<\/a> Foundation has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2013. The site is a synthesis of the work of contemporary artist Victor Vasarely.
